Mine don't go that high but that amount of ram usage is nothing to worry about. Wait till it hits 1.5gb+ before worrying. When GG5 was out, I was hitting 1gb+ on a regular basis per server without any problems(you'll see some weird things happen, like bouncing barrels etc). The crashing/freezing we are seeing is due to the threading of the network code. Keep an eye on the steampowered forums thread. They are trying to track it down.

So I was watching my server processes with task manager and I noticed that they are slowly climbing in memory usage, my guess is that this is what is causing mine to crash, last night my elim got up to about 600 MB usage. Are yours doing this too?

ok cool, i see that dogz is going down every couple days, just not as often as ours so i thought maybe they were just restarting it every now and then, I figured it was something to do with valve. I notice that before mine crashes, the last map before the change that causes the crash is really laggy and the server fps drops right down. It must be a memory or cpu leak.

Dogz is crashing as well. It's the game server itself and I don't think it's any plugins we are running. That means we are at the mercy of Valve.

So I was wondering if you had any progress on figuring out what is causing our servers to crash?

I noticed that dogz gungame barely ever crashes, so I wonder what they have done differently, I know they have custom skins disabled, also in hlsw the nextmap always says pending vote. I am looking for any differences they might have, they may also be running a different version of dm.

I think that it would be really beneficial for us to figure this out because its getting really annoying for us and the players on our servers.

Give me a shout if you have any ideas.

have an issue with servers overwriting my video settings every few maps as do others on dm server.

The settings for model detail, world detail, and bloom keep getting switched back to high every 3-4 maps no matter how many times i change them back. stupid patch. any way to fix this ?
